This photo was taken during our pattern and texture project. The compositional element of that is most apparent is the texture. As well as emphasis, which is due to the darker shells popping out more than the lighter shells. When I edited this photo I changed the photo to black and white, adjusted the levels, and adjusted the exposure to make sure the photo wasn't to light and wasn't to dark. I really like this photo because it reminds me of the beach and summer, my favorite season. I used defused lighting setting up two lights on the side, this removed the possibility of shadows and really captured the shape of the shells.

During our portrait and double exposure project, I took the photo of Felicity and combined it with a photo I took on an airplane. Compositionally there is texture due to the clouds overlapping her shirt. Also, there is a contrast between dark and light. There is light on her face and arm and darkness in the background. I edited this photo by taking the portrait of felicity and the photo of the sky and airplane and combining them. I had to adjust how much of the airplane and cloud background you could see. Since both photos were perviously edited I only had to adjust the levels. I had to set my camera to 1/125 and f5.6.

Playing with light is when I photographed this photo. I selected this photo because its very bright and the circle inside the circle portrayed a cool delusional effect. The compositional components in this photo is color, due to the multicolor in the photo, as well as shape, due to the circles spiraling within a bigger circle. When I edited this photo I adjusted the hue and saturation and cropped the image. The camera was set to a shutter speed of 6 seconds. We used a light stick while someone changed the remote to get the color effect.

During our aperture project I took this photo. What I like about this photo is the pop of red from the rose that is focused in the front of the image along the side of the stacked dice. My point of veiw was straight on. I set the camera to an ISO of 1600 with my white balance on auto. I also had an f-stop of f-4 to create a shallow depth of field. The compositional elements within this photo is emphasis on the rose, as well as space due to the spacing of the dice apart from one another and the space of the row of dice from the rose itself. When editing this photo I adjusted the hue and saturation, levels, and cropped the photo.

For my favorite person/ thing project I chose my friend Paige. I like this photo a lot because its natural. Yes, she is posed but her hair and hand were all natural things she did when I captured the image with a graphite background. Since I took the picture on my phone camera I used the regular iPhone settings. I edited this photo on light room adjusting the white and blacks in the photo as well as highlights, shadows, exposure, and strength. I cropped this photo as well. The compositional elements in this photo would be color and pattern due to the back ground image behind Paige.

During our portrait project I captured this image of Jackson. We used two lights on the side one with a pinkish red light and one with blue light and had him sit in front of a black background. The camera was set to an ISO of 800, a shutter speed of 1/125 and an f stop of f5.6. When editing this photo I adjusted the contrast within the photo as well as the hue and saturation just a little bit. The compositional elements are color due to the color on his face. Another compositional element of this photo is contrast due to the black background and lighter colors on Jacksons face and sweatshirt which help make Jackson himself pop out.
